I caught the show an hour late, but when I read the guide on VH1 that it was a tribute to the Dirty South, I had to watch. Plus, someone told me that they were giving props to Luke and 2 Live Crew, one of my favorite rap groups. Just as nasty as they wanna be, and their music was too tight. Now the real reason I watched the show, because most of yall know that I don't listen to the new southern rap, because I feel its just mostly to make money not good music. However, I put the hatin down. Its time to admit, that I dance and bump some of the music. I just love old hip hop too much, that's all. Anyways, the show took me back. I didnt realize how much I was on the south in elementary. Once again, many props to Luke and 2 LIVE CREW:
"I'M LIKE A DOG IN HEAT, A FREAK WITHOUT WARNING. I HAVE AN APPETITE FOR SEX, CAUSE ME SO HORNY"
Since I missed half of the show, not much more I can speak on. Like I said, I will stop hatin on the south music. What I did catch was Trina, she is so damn thick. I would love to get some of that action.

ReplyDeleteThe show was great! BTW, and I am sure they will play it again. And like you I get a little annoyed with the music coming out of the South, but after the Hip Hop Honors I also remembered what I loved about it. Which basically puts me to the next edition of my blog: HIp Hop vs Rap.. This one should be interesting. Would love to hear your input when it's done..
